Biblical Counselling Africa (BCA) LEVEL 3 is our most rigorous course of study and is particularly suited to those in pastoral ministry positions seeking intensive training at a high academic standard. This online, graduate-level programme is offered in partnership with the Christian Counselling and Educational Foundation (CCEF). Although taught at Masters level, CCEF is not an accredited programme.
CCEF has provided excellent and reliable training for those in vocational and lay ministry, as well as Christian mental health and social work professionals, for over 50 years. BCA has entered a partnership with the CCEF School of Biblical Counselling (SBC) to offer their courses to you in Africa at a significantly reduced cost.
The CCEF aim is to restore Christ to counselling and counselling to the church. BC Africa is aligned with that vision. We believe that wise counsel is based on a biblical understanding of God’s intention for every area of our lives; spiritual, physical, emotional, and relational. A detailed description of the CCEF philosophy of counseling can be found here.
CCEF courses are lectured by well-known authors including David Powlison, Ed Welch, Paul Tripp, Darby Strickland, Julie Lowe, Alasdair Groves, and many others. We seek to offer contextualised African courses, administered by African Online Instructors, while still utilising the same gifted CCEF lecturers.
BCA currently offers a certificate program, consisting of seven courses:
- Dynamics of Biblical Change
- Helping Relationships
(Courses 1 and 2 are prerequisites, courses 3-5 may be taken in any order)
- Human Personality
- Counselling in the Local Church
- Scripture for Life and Ministry
- Everyday Problems in Counselling
- Summative Project – a practical application of all you’ve learned
Additional courses may be added
Details for all courses can be found at CCEF – Courses
While the cost of CCEF courses ranges from US$450 – $650, we will keep our Biblical Counselling Africa course cost well below this level, under $200, and we can currently offer much further reductions on course fees.
